Become familiar with GeoYukon
Here are the things you may want to master with GeoYukon before going any further. The best way is to explore and experiment.
- Go to GeoYukon. It may take several seconds to appear on your browser.
- Pan by clicking and dragging. Zoom using the scroll wheel on your mouse, using the + and - keys on your keyboard, or using or the and buttons on the GeoYukon screen. This is similar to the interactive maps in THEN projects.
- Zoom to your community of interest by clicking on the bookmark button , which is under under the zoom-out button on the GeoYukon screen.
- Select various basemaps using the basemap button in the bottom left-hand corner of the map. High-resolution satellite images around Whitehorse are nice.
- Explore the various options accessible with the I want to... button . Master the "Change visible map layers" options.
- Explore the various options in the advanced tools menu near the top of the screen. These are the File, Home, Download, Navigate, Find, Draw&Edit, and Analyze tabs.
